1.1. Create a link in Notifications

This is a 2 step process.  First you have to upload the document to Department Manuals.  Second you create the Notification and link it to the uploaded document in Department Manuals.  I'll break it down for you below.

Upload Document to Department Manuals

  1. Select More from the top menu ribbon
  2. Choose Resources (This brings you directly to the Department Manuals area)
  3. Type a File Display Name
  4. Click the Choose File button to browse for the document
  5. Click Upload File

Create the Notification and Link it to the Document

  1. Navigate to the Home Page (By clicking the House icon in the top left corner of any page)
  2. Click Notices & Setup (located on the right hand side near the top of the page)
  3. Click the New hyperlink
  4. Type the Notification Message.  Within the text, highlight the word or words you want to link back to the document.
  5. Click the Create Links to Department Manuals hyperlink
  6. Select the checkbox associated with the document you wish to link to
  7. Click Create URL to Selected File
  8. Once the page refreshes, click (Copy to the Clipboard) or highlight the URL and right-click to copy it
  9. Close the Create Links to Files Page and navigate back to the Department Notices Page which should still be open
  10. The text should still be highlighted so you can click on the hyperlink icon (which looks the same as any Microsoft application hyperlink icon)
  11. Paste in the URL and click OK
  12. Click Save
